Walkcycle Animation - July 29, 2008, 06:10:06 AM

Walkcycles are one of the hardest animations to get right, so I took my time with this and put alot of effort into it to gear it in the right direction. Next year, my course requires me to do character animation of which I have to animate to a sound clip (lip sync) and include walkcycles to create a short animation... and I think I've touched on the basics and I'm ready for it!

I am on fire! Well, after the first character test, I got really motivated to do more so I downloaded a sound clip and animated a character saying it. I actually put more effort into this piece so its definitely worth a watch!

So I got bored of animating DE_dust2 and thought its about time I played around with some 3D, so I did. What is it? It's just a character going "AUGHH!! O_o"
Once I do enough tests and learn how to properly animate characters in 3D, I'll start making proper short movies  . |

Back from Europe + updates! - July 20, 2008, 05:55:23 PM

It's been a while hasn't it?
Got back from Eastern Europe, been to Bratislava (Slovakia), Budapest (Hungary), Vienna (Austria), and Prague (Czech Republic). To be fair, it wasn't anything amazing... but it was a really nice break from animating full time. Some of the buildings there have crazy architecture, impressive stuff though after a while they all look the same.
Anyways, settled in my new house now with internet all sorted so I'm real satisfied. The forum is still in one piece, so thanks to Runtman and kyle, the mods. As you would have probably noticed by now, there has been some changes to the site. I've applied for Google ads to help pay for the hosting - it isn't cheap!
DE_dust2 is currently 2 minutes long and I will get my ass back in gear to keep animating it soon. Peace out. |
